Privacy notice
How Family Forged 3D handles personal information when you use familyforged.co.za. Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who we are
Family Forged 3D sells 3D-printed educational toys through this website. For the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we are the responsible party for the details you give us when you shop.

What we collect
- Your name, email, phone number, and delivery address, including suburb and province when you ask for courier delivery
- A name, colour, or other detail you ask us to print on a personalised piece
- Your name, email, phone number, and message if you use the contact page
- Order notes you choose to add, such as a gate code or clinic name
- What you bought, the amount, and the order number
- A session cookie that keeps the basket, and your login if you create an account, on this browser
- A password if you register. We store a hash of it, not the password itself
PayFast takes the payment. We receive the result (for example, paid or cancelled) and PayFast’s payment reference. We do not receive or store your card number.
Why we use it
- To take the order, make or pack the toys, and deliver them
- To contact you if the order changes, or if we need a clearer address
- To keep a record of the sale for our accounts
- To deal with a cancellation, a damaged toy, or a question about an order
- To reply when you send a message from the contact page
- To show you the orders placed on your account, if you register and sign in
We do not use your details for advertising lists, and we do not sell them.
Who else receives it
- PayFast, so they can process the payment
- A courier, if we send the parcel: the name, phone number, and delivery address on the order
Those parties use the details for that job. PayFast’s own privacy terms apply to the payment page.
How long we keep it
We keep the order while we are supplying it, and afterwards for our accounting records. A contact-page message is emailed to the shop and kept in that inbox so we can reply. The basket cookie lasts only for the browser session. If you ask us to delete something we no longer need for the order or for our accounts, we will.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or object to us using it where the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
The site sets one session cookie, named ff_shop, so the basket, the checkout form, and a signed-in account stay with you. It is not an advertising cookie. The shop still works if you block it, but the basket and the login will not be remembered.
